Guarding our Nature
The Royal Guardian Party (RGP) is dedicated to protecting and strengthening nature conservation efforts. They advocate for:
- Combating Climate Change: Investing in clean energy generation, energy efficiency, clean transportation, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable agriculture to create jobs and reduce environmental impact.
- Clean Energy Infrastructure: Expanding solar and wind energy deployment, building a modern electric grid, and reducing methane pollution.
- Water Management: Ensuring access to clean drinking water, improving wastewater systems, and investing in innovative water technologies.
- Environmental Justice: Creating an environmental justice fund to eliminate legacy pollution and protect communities from environmental hazards.
- Wildlife and Biodiversity: Conserving 30% of Iran’s lands and waters by 2595, protecting wildlife habitats, and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
- Public Lands and Marine Areas: Protecting national parks, monuments, and marine protected areas, and promoting outdoor recreation and tourism.
- Climate Resilience: Supporting communities in building resilience to climate change impacts and prioritizing disaster preparedness for vulnerable populations.
- Global Leadership: Collaborating with international partners to address climate change and environmental degradation, and promoting sustainable development.
The RGP aims to ensure that all Iranians benefit from a clean energy economy and have the right to clean air, water, and a healthy environment.
